Long ago we mentioned in Engadget Mobile which had way of becoming a long controversy. With the arrival of Orange, had broken the agreement by which Euskaltel resold their products in the Basque country. The biscayan company decided to establish as an MVNO in the hands of Vodafone; and the regulator decided that customers who would like to continue with Euskaltel instead of Orange should apply for portability. A total of 450,000 customers to decide with which operator stay.
As well, we already know the results of this campaign of portability that Euskaltel turned to hiring thousands of business that were doing the paperwork and freed the mobile customers: up to now 180,000 customers have decided to continue with the brand Euskaltel, 28% of the total that had before breaking the agreement with Amena-Orange.
The deadline to enable these clients to perform its portability is maintained until March 31. There is no doubt that they are a very juicy market share: Orange has offered to those primary operating with Euskaltel and who remain in your network calls at half price forever (duplicate recharges lifetime or 50% invoice discount indefinitely).
