Apple’s music and radio actions do not constitute a threat for FM and Internet radio.
The launch of iTunes Radio is not immediately threaten the common radio, believes Bob Pittman from Clear Channel Communications, which owns over 850 radio stations, including netproduktet iHeartRadio, and is the United States ‘ largest radio operator, writes our site.
He does not believe that neither regular broadcast radio on FM and AM or netradio, be concerned about Apple’s actions.
-“Although the listeners hear FM radio to be a part of the universe with Studio hosts, etc., listening also personalized radio, when one will have ‘a private experience’,” says Bob Pittmann to the Wall Street Journal.
Clear Channel has long had the view that personalized radio, which also iTunes Radio becomes part of, can’t stand alone as a viable stand-alone business model.
